Both Worlds- Memory Rendered Visible (1998)

Spiritual hardcore during its truest era before being overdone and watered down.
Not a lot of people talk about this band, well, at all anymore. But this album is truly one of the great underrated gems that slipped into obscurity after the Hare Krishna wave had passed in the mid/late 90's.

AJ Novello (Leeway) pounds out some of his best riffs yet, and John Joseph's (Cro-Mags) voice sounded tighter than ever. Its not what you expect from either of them, although some believe this is what the last Leeway record SHOULD have sounded like.
This was their only proper full-length release in their short-lived tenure, but these songs are more powerful than most bands' entire careers. This is definitely worth a listen. Its a must-have for any fan of this era in hardcore or the members' other musical endeavors.

Hailing from Denton, Texas Brack Cantrell has gathered up his best friends and created 10 songs to warm the heart. Together they have created Balance Problems and bring us "Morning Sun." Balance Problems brings a unique sound to the table and they are finding it easy to draw in crowds with their ability to create a serene state of mind, by using their ambience and tranquility as well as attention catching choruses. I've been listening to this release from start to finish for a few weeks now, and I can not begin to tell you how catchy this record it is. It will leave you reciting verses in your head for the rest of the day.

A new band from the suburbs of Philadelphia playing very sincere, very complex metalcore. This isn't chugga chugga bree bree shit everyone is doing these days. My only sorta(but not really) complaint is that the demo is very very short, but the repeat value on it makes up for that. I'd much rather have 3 very good songs, then 6 okay songs. "Godless Complex" is easily the most epic metalcore song i've heard in sometime. I'm really looking forward to what these dudes put out next. These guys are young and hungary.

In all honestly, the internet doesn't need another blog. Little is known about this band other then that they were very young, and released a handful of EP's and then with the blink of an eye they were gone. The band left their identity very unknown, so what these guys are doing nowadays is a mystery. But in the short amount of time they were a band they released easily the finest piece of metalcore to ever be played on plastic. "...To Record the Choir to One Soloist" is a compilation of the EP's the band released. I picked this album one day when I was browsing at a record store, and finally got to own it on vinyl 4 years later. This is not your typical metalcore record, trust me.
